Good Monday Morning
Good Morning Lisa and Cali Friends!
I hope you all had a great weekend. And yes, it did feel like a fast one!
How are you all weathering the storm? We stayed in and painted our guest bedroom. Wow! I love a freshly painted room! It looks so clean and fresh. I even cleaned the carpets!
Back to the Monday Grind for me.......it's hard, knowing I should be on vacation! Oh well, I would rather wait for nice sunshiney days then the wet stuff!
Have a great, great Day!!!
Jeni
DIL's garage sale went pretty well on Saturday considering all she has is junk to sell . . . it's amazing what people will buy (or what some people even want to sell!) Well it beats trying to stuff it all in the trash. I could even actually get from my kitchen door to the front of the garage right now . . . OMG - what a novel concept!
Anyway . . . have a great day everyone . . . no rain down here yet . . . but the rest of you stay warm and dry!
Chris
yep the weekend is over and it was a quiet one for me too.....although I did make a trip to the Mall on Saturday with my sister. And yes, I did make a stop at the MAC counter at Nordstroms and also bought 4 tops that were on clearance (Thanks Naomi - you helped with those purchases).
Then we went over to Macys and I caved and bought a couple pair of jeans as they were on big sale - regular $40 on sale for $19.99 - and - are you ready for this - they are a size 10...OMFG I can not believe it....and that is with the binder on and all....
Then yesterday just made a quick grocery run then home to watch all of the Oscar festivities - I am one of those that loves to see what the stars are wearing and watching all the glamour stuff. I thought it was a pretty good show but now I feel the need to go see Slumdog MIllionaire for sure....also want to see MILK....
Ok well time for me to go read the paper and have a cup of coffee
Hugs to all and Janine - if you are lurking - I love you girl and hope you are doing well......
Hey Jeanie Beanie...MAC and 10's what more can a girl ask for???? I am so happy for you....I told you when I saw you that you were going to be small, but just don't listen...if you are a 10 now swollen and with a binder....I see 6's coming your way!!!!
I am headed for surgery myself in May...I really hope that my gut will last that long, but I have to get the next student based mural installed before I can anything. Plus I know that after I have this next surgery...it might be iffy if I even go back to school for the remainder of the year.
I am doing okay...thank you and all of you have asked and wondered. I do not know why I have checked out...part of my personality sometimes. No I am not in the food and acting bad and no nothing happened...I wasnt' going to come to the boards and say I am leaving for a while I need a break because everyone assumes that some drama happened...and no it did not.
My close friends knew I was okay and choose not to post that they knew I was doing alright...I did not tell them to say something or not, but I have to say....I so appreciate that level of trust that no one say one way or another......they just respected me and you all know who you are.
I have been extraordinarily busy with school, working towards installation of tiles....and my family. Yeah and I even get a social life with it too. Time surely gets away from and there are times this past week that I have only gotten on line just to check mail and then work on the yearbook.
This past Friday, the mosaic mural I did this past fall was dedicated and Laura's family was there from the mid-west. It was an emotional time, but a lot of good came out of it...especially some type of closer for the family. It was a beautiful morning and the mural just sparkled in the morning sun. I was happy that my husband was able to be there to share that day with me because he was a big part of my success. Here is a photo of the family and me:
from left to right...it was Laura's bil, sister, her husband, me of course, her mother and father. We are all going out to dinner and I have made them a book about the process. They were so teary eyed and so grateful and thankful to me....and after I got done talking in front of a group of people....my last thing I said to her husband Mark was, "I will always remember you saying that I was so afraid Laura would be forgotten." That statement really endear Mark to my heart. Here is a link of the photobook I made of the process:

I am grateful to all of you who have supported me whether you have met me or not....I feel like you are all a part of me in some way...and I hope you know that I support each and everyone of you even in my silence. I am proud of all of you and the spirit and dedication you all have to living a life of health. It is not always easy...God how I know after nearly 7 years of living the life, but each day I wake and put my feet on the floor I know that I am going to make it my best no matter what is thrown my way.
I am here you guys....I care...and thank you for caring about me enough to keep asking....it warms my heart and I am so appreciative!
With a lot of love to all of you!
oh and PS....what about my man Sean Penn winning!!!!! OMG he said he was **** lovin commi....and when he said I know it is not always easy liking him sometimes....but I am telling you after meeting him...Penn is a very humble caring man!Get yours at Webfetti.com

Janine, great to see you posting and the mural is spectacular.
It's been storming here all yesterday and last night and should continue most of the week. We so need the rain.
Yesterday, I made the two baby blankets and if I can, I will get Ron to get a picture of them and post them before I mail them off. I think they are really cute and God willing this will help break the ice. God has a plan and I must leave things in his able hands.
Off to work, the week will be fairly busy as I have a training to do of all of our Office Managers and then a Safety meeting. Such good things happening there, to be ending. Oh well on to bigger and better things, I pray.
Well, hope everyone has a great day ahead. Stay warm, dry and safe.
Hugs,
Barb
Good Morning Cali! Nice to see you're around Janine.
Yesterday I worked for 2 whole hours. Nothing was going on so they cut us loose. I took Jayden home early to his mom so I could get back and enjoy my evening. Got home and decided to.....
CLEAN MY HOUSE! Oh my goodness it was disgusting. Dog hair and dust everywhere. We keep it tidy and all that, but when you stop and look int he corners, it grossed me out. So, I dealt with it.
My &%()$#)(#*%& yellow dog has taken to digging up one of my plants. I can't keep her frickin nose out of it and she strews dirt everywhere. Have no idea why, but I guess I'll scoop that dirt out and put some new stuff in there and see if that will keep her out. Three times yesterday I cleaned the mess up only to come back by and find...........another mess.
Off and running! I sure hope everyone has a great day. I'm concentrating today on busting my stall! I lost the #'s I had gained and 2 extras, but I'm still stuck. Grrrr. I'm also headed to the gym today.
The wife of one of my guys here was supposed to have WLS surgery today, but since the program was cancelled, they cancelled her surgery. She's crushed. So, they're now looking for a good doctor in Sacramento area. Recommendations??????? Iknow my Cali Crew will help Mary! Her parents live in the Sacramento area so this is a new option for her. Let me know!
